The UTEP women's golf team climbed three spots from ninth place to sixth on day two of the Price's Give Em Five Intercollegiate on Tuesday in Las Cruces.
The Miners also shaved seven strokes off Monday's score, shooting 293 for a two-day total of 593. The final round will be played on Wednesday.
UTEP freshman Camino Sardinero is tied for ninth place with a one-over-par 145 (74-71). Shang-Fan Huang (75-72-147) and Teresa Nogues (74-73-147) are tied for 16th place, Emma Edin is tied for 45th place (77-77-154) and Emma Burman is tied for 78th place (78-83-161). Johanna Permatz, competing as an individual, is tied for 69th place (78-81-159).
