EL PASO — Two talented mosaic artists, Terri Wright and Kathryn Gelinas, have created a“Tree of Hope” sculpture in the lobby of the Family Resource Center at the Center Against Family Violence, to be publicly unveiled Thursday.
"We are delighted to have this beautiful art piece in our lobby,” said Stephanie Karr, Executive Director of the Center Against Family Violence.“It reflects our mission of providing hope to those families coming to us in the aftermath of family violence. The message is one of growth, inspiration and healing. We are grateful to MCAD for selecting us to be the location of this beautiful mosaic.”
Artists Wright and Gelinas have been funded through a grant under the Community Arts Program administered by the Museum and Cultural Affairs Department (MCAD) of The City of El Paso. The main goal of this grant program is to provide support and opportunities for individual artists to teach, perform, exhibit, and extend their work into the community of El Paso.
