New jobs are coming to Socorro.
Robert Bosch LLC will open an automotive aftermarket warehouse and distribution facility.
The move will create at least 60 full-time positions. The company has committed to a minimum of $2,500,000 in capital expenditures and there is the possibility of adding more than 100 jobs in total within the next three years.
“It is very good news for Socorro to know Bosch is coming into our community. We look forward to welcoming them and are thankful for the new jobs they are creating in our city” stated Trini Lopez, Mayor of Socorro.
“Bosch is pleased to be able to work with the Regional Economic Development Corporation to establish its new warehouse operations for our aftermarket brake components business in Socorro,” said Frank Schlehuber, president, Bosch Brake Components LLC. “We look forward to establishing our operations in this community which provides a good business climate and workforce for Bosch.”
In North America, the Bosch Group manufactures and markets automotive original equipment and aftermarket products, industrial drives and control technology, power tools, security and packaging technology, thermo technology, household appliances, solar energy and healthcare products. Bosch employs nearly 24,000 associates in more than 70 locations throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico, with reported sales of $8.6 billion in fiscal 2008.
