CONNECTICUT— They say there is no such thing as a stupid question, but one Connecticut man has landed himself in jail for asking a dispatcher the wrong question.

Police near central Connecticut said Rober Michelson called 911 Thursday and asked a dispatcher just how much trouble he'd be in for growing a plant. That plant was specifically a marijuana plant.

Michelson called from his home phone, allowing police officers to smoke him out. Police found a small amount of marijuana at Michelson's home, and other drug paraphernalia. Michelson was arrested and released on bond.

Michelson made an obscene gesture to the dispatchers as he left the station, police said.

Caller:
"I was just growing some marijuana and I was just wondering what the .. how much, you know, trouble you can get into for one plant."
911 Operator:
"You're growing marijuana and you want to know how much.. it depends on how big the plant is."
Caller:
"It's only a seedling."
911 Operator:
"Well, it's possession. You can get pinched for a roach in a car."
Caller:
"All right. Thanks for the info."
911 Operator:
"You're welcome."
