Shooting Suspect Turns Himself Into Police

UPDATE: The suspect in a shooting in Northeast El Paso is in police custody. 


El Paso Police Spokesman Darrel Petry confirmed that Mark Hernandez turned himself into police early Monday morning.


Martinez escaped a 6-hour SWAT standoff on Porter Ave. on Sunday where officers had reason to believe that Hernandez was hiding inside a home.


Investigators believe Hernandez shot a 27-year-old man in the head at a party on Sanders Ave. on Saturday night.


The victim remains in critical condition.


 

EL PASO, TX — Police investigate a shooting in northeast El Paso, which leaves one man in critical condition.
Officers responded to a call in the 5700 block of Sanders Saturday night, finding 27-year-old Daniel Nunez shot in the head.Police say they believe 33-year-old Mark Hernandez is responsible for the shooting.
