The UTEP softball team will open its home Conference USA schedule this weekend when they host Memphis for a three-game series beginning on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Helen of Troy Complex.
Saturday’s second game of the doubleheader will continue immediately following at 4 p.m. The teams will meet again on Sunday at noon for the final game of the series.
The Miners, 15-15 and 1-2 in C-USA play, head into the series after dropping a pair to No. 14/18 Nebraska in a midweek doubleheader on Tuesday. UTEP began league competition earlier this month in Orlando, Fla., where they lost 2-1 in the first of three games before rebounding with a 3-2 victory on March 12. A 6-0 loss on Sunday, March 13, dropped the Miners to 1-2 in conference play in their first series.
