El Paso - - Former political candidate Larry Medina is not giving up.
You may have seen his billboards running for El Paso County Judge.
Medina pulled out of the race and today aruged that his name should be removed from the ballot.
Visiting judge Steven Ables disagreed saying Medina missed the withdrawal deadline.
Medina says he will appeal...
"I think we all realize including the judge that there is a need for the state law to change and allow candidates to change their minds for whatever reason, especially good reasons like family."
In withdrawing from the county judge race, Medina indicated the recent birth of his son is more important than politics.
