EL PASO-- Gasoline prices are rising.

There's nothing under $3 in the Borderland.

Right now, the national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is $3.39, and that's the highest price yet in January.

Experts say they predict much higher prices by the summer travel season, well above $4 a gallon.

“Here lately, we are the only people we know paying under $3 for gas, in like four different states,” said Tiffany Armer, a driver. “We are the only ones. Now to hear we are going to pay more than them, I want to cry.”

High crude prices are to blam for higher prices at the pump. Also, the government's repeal of ethanol fuel credits.
