RUIDOSO, NM — Firefighters continue to make progress in containing the Little Bear wildfire near Ruidoso.
The fire is 60 percent contained and has burned more than 38,000 acres.
Officials said after yesterday's storms, a lot of leaves fell from burned trees and could add new fuel to previously burned areas.
The American Red Cross will close their shelter at Ruidoso High School Sunday night.
On Wednesday, they will begin working on long term recovery for those affected.
