EL PASO-- For the time being, we'll all have to pay the same rate for electricity.
The El Paso City Council voted today to extend the existing rate, while it continues to review El Paso Electric's reasons for charging what it currently does.
El Pasoans pay some of the highest power rates in Texas.
We expect Council to take further action next month on the cost of the electricity.
