SILVER CITY - Crews continue to make progress on the Whitewater-Baldy Complex Wildfire, the largest in New Mexico state history.
Almost 260,000 acres have burned in the Gila wilderness, but crews have contained 20 percent of the fire.
Crews continue to use aerial ignitions to hold and push back fire lines.
On the south and southwest, fire lines are barely visible.
That's good news for the more than 1,100 crews working on the wildfire.
