Cleveland won WAC Track Athlete of the Week last week opposed to WAC Field Athlete of the Week this week.
Last week Cleveland turned in a stellar performance at the Willie Williams Classic in Tucson, Ariz., after she broke the NM State all-time outdoor record in the 400m hurdles by running a 1:00.60. She also placed first in the 100m hurdles in a time of 14.29 and finished third in the long jump with a leap of 5.59m. This week at the UTEP Springtime Invite Cleveland continued her dominating performance, by winning the long jump event with a WAC leading leap of 19 feet, 9.75 inches or 6.04m. Cleveland's mark ranks her 15th in the nation and 10th in the NCAA West Region. The jump also moved Cleveland from sixth to third on the NM State all-time outdoor record list in the event. Cleveland also competed in the 100m hurdles and 4x100m relay. She placed fifth in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.12, while her relay team of Leah Benton, LaSasha Aldredge and Alishia Perkins finished fourth with a time of 46.20.
