A popular East El Paso park is getting a facelift. Crews this week cut down two big mulberry trees at Blackie Chesher Park.

The city's parks and rec department says the trees had to be taken out to expand soccer fields in the park.

Twenty new trees will also be planted to replace the two that were cut down.
