A motorcyclist was killed after crashing his bike late Saturday night in East El Paso, according to El Paso Police.

Investigators said the 44-year-old rider struck the curb of a center median on the 12500 block of Pebble Hills around 11:45 p.m.

The impact threw the man from the motorcycle. He was taken to Del Sol Medical Center where he died a short time later.

The victim was riding a 1998 Honda 750, investigators said, adding that speed is a likely factor in the wreck.

As of Sunday morning, police had yet to release the man's name but said he was from East El Paso.
