Friday, October 26, 2012 - 20:02

Friday marked the end of week one of early voting in the Borderland. So far 36,427 El Paso County residents have turned out to vote. That's 8,000 to 10,000 people a day.

Early turnout is similar to what El Paso County saw four years ago. However, statewide it appears overall turnout will surpass four years ago with a record 13.6 million Texans who are registered to vote this year. Early voting ends on November 2nd.
