DWI driver allegedly crashes into parked cars, found with cocaine

El Paso Police Department arrested 23-year-old Ruben Hernandez on Wednesday evening after he allegedly crashed into two parked vehicles while driving while intoxicated and in possession of cocaine.

Hernandez, was driving in the 100 block of George Orr at approximately 11:41 p.m.  when he allegedly crashed his 2003 Ford Focus into a parked vehicle, which then caused a chain reaction with another parked vehicle.

Officers determined Hernandez was intoxicated and he was placed under arrest for DWI. Further investigation revealed that Hernandez was in possession of 1.2 grams of cocaine in his pants pocket.

Hernandez was booked into the El Paso County Jail on Driving While Intoxicated and Possession of Controlled Substance, less than 1 gram.
