Furry, four-legged friends showed off their winter coats and their manners this weekend at the El Paso County Coliseum.

People from all over the country came to have their dogs compete in the Onate Trail Dog Fanciers Dog Show.
Every breed big and small was there to win the blue ribbon.

But, even for those not competing, dog shows can be fun for the entire family.

Angie Armenta has been entering her dogs in the ring for years, but she says she's always loved going to dog shows.

"It's just fun for people that are in the market to buy a dog and look at all the different breeds. This way, they can see what they would like. Large dog, small dog, it's just fun for people to come and see dog shows. That's how we started, just walking around dog shows," Armenta said.

And that little Pomeranian in her arms won best of breed this weekend. At six months old, this was her very first competition.

Thank you Alexa, we loved showing our pomeranian.
