HORIZON CITY, TX — Sheriff's Deputies identified the victim of a deadly pedestrian accident Sunday to be Sacho Jizkov, 53 or Elwood Park, Illinois.
Deputies said Jizkov tried crossing IH-10 east at MM37 when he was struck by a semi-truck. He died at the scene.
Deputies and DPS units closed IH-10 eastbound and diverted motorists onto Gateway Boulevard East for approximately 5 1/2 hours. TXDOT was also on scene. No charges on the driver were pending.
Jizkov was a truck driver with a family oriented business of Carrier One Transportation out of Illinois.
