El Paso — The party is over and now the clean up begins. We are talking about Mardi Gras. For a lot of El Pasoans the celebration ended way into the early morning hours on Wednesday.
Fat Tuesday began Tuesay at 4 PM and ended around 2 AM Wednesday morning. Our camera crews captured people stumbling in their party attire and even some confrontations, but in the end Sheriff's Deputies say it was a good, safe evening.
"Well it was pretty safe. That's how the river flows. You need to have law enforcement keep it safe because if not it would have been a wreck, it would have been reckless," Alexander Millan of Far East El Paso tells us.
Cincinnati Street was reopened around 7 AM on Wednesday.
