DEPUTIES: Children Unrestrained in Tornillo Rollover

TORNILLO, TX — A three-year-old child is fighting to survive after a rollover in Tornillo, Texas.

Sheriff's Deputies said the crash happened around 10:45 Friday morning at the intersection of Guadalupe and Lower Island Roads.

Two adults and two children were in the van. Deputies said the driver saw the three-year-old standing up in the back seat, lost control of the vehicle, and over-corrected. The van was driven into a canal.

The three-year-old was ejected from the vehicle. A man in the front seat also broke his leg.
Neither child was weaing a seat belt.
