EL PASO — A march for immigration reform will be held Wednesday in South El Paso. The Border Network for Human Rights organized the rally as part of a national day of action.
Hundreds of demonstrators are also expected to rally at the nation's capital Wednesday. The will urge Congress to find a path to citizenship for the estimated 11-million people who have come to the United States illegally. The group of eight senators working on a compromise could announce a bill as early as Thursday.
Demonstrators in El Paso will meet at 11:30 a.m. at Armijo Park, located at the corner of 7th St. and Campbell. The march starts at noon.
