EL PASO — Deputies were called to the El Paso District Clerk's office Thursday after a male subject refused to be charged a fee for paperwork and caused a disturbance.

As deputies attempted to escort Ryan Lumley, 37, to the security office, they said he became combative and assaulted one of the deputies as a result.

Lumley was arrested for assault on a public servant, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
