County judge candidate Jaime Perez insists it's time to stop the flow of people between Mexico and the United States after this weekend's shootings at the border.
He says "It's just a matter of time before the violence hits with full, bloody and mortal force in El Paso."
Perez says shutting down the drug violence requires shutting down ports of entry to stop the flow of drugs.
Other solutions include beefing up the police presence in Juarez, but that hasn't worked.
Mexican leaders have also said they're willing to talk about legalizing marijuana, something that the Obama administration does not condone.
