Country music songwriters perform for a good cause

Monday, March 4, 2013 - 9:43pm

Three of the men who have written some of country music's biggest hits are coming to El Paso for a special fundraiser.

The songwriters will sing their songs, then talk about the story behind the song.

Organizers say you will never hear a country song that same way again.

Those attending, are Bob Dipiero who has been one of the most consistent and prolific songwriters and entertainers to ever walk music row in Nashville.

Luke Laird who has made his mark on the music industry by penning some of the hottest hits in country music.

Tim Nichols has nearly two dozen hits, multiple songwriting awards, and has earned his place among Nashville's elite and most respected tunesmiths.

Following the performance the audience will get a chance to meet the songwriters.

Funds raised at this event will be invested in the Junior League of El Paso Endowment Fund, and will be used to sustain, expand, and initiate the amazing community projects and programs presented by the Junior League of El Paso, Inc.

"The Storytellers" is being held at the El Paso Country Club. It'll take place on Saturday March 9th. Tickets are $150.
