EL PASO - The El Paso Police Department has informed us in a press release that five, not six, people were sent to the hospital after a shooting Sunday morning in Northeast El Paso.
The shooting happened just before 6:30 a.m. on the 5300 block of Viceroy.
We're told all of the victims were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. One person's head was grazed by a bullet.
A neighbor described what she heard from her home down the street. "It was just every 45 seconds, 'pop pop pop,' that's all I heard," said Maria Fleming. REPORTER: "Did you come outside?" MARIA: "No, no, no, no, I don't go out when it's shooting and stuff like this."
The El Paso Police Gang Unit is investigating.
