El Paso, TX (KDBC) — Nine Coronado High School students are feeling lighter today, after they each donated at least 8 inches of their hair.
It's part of the Pantene Beautiful Lengths program.
Students heard testimony from cancer survivors and representatives from the American Cancer Society.
The student organizer is proud that so many girls donated their hair and made a difference in the lives' of cancer patients.
"Our trainer, who's actually a cancer survivor, was actually so grateful that these girls were donating their hair because it means a lot to them," said Carrie Haegele. "Like more than the girls know that there's like support behind them and they don't even know them but they're already supporting them".
The donated hair will create 2 to 3 wigs for cancer patients.
