Controversial License Plates

AUSTIN - Texas is one step closer to selling license plates that say "Choose Life" on them.

A bill that would allow Texas to sell these license plates passed swiftly through the health committee yesterday. The only member of the committee to vote it down was our own state senator Jose Rodriguez.

In a statement, Rodriguez said, "Our legislature should focus more on preventing unwanted pregnancies through education and family planning services and not focus so much time on promoting politically charged license plates."
