El Paso, TX (KDBC) — The El Paso engineering and construciton management department is hosting a community meeting tonight to discuss the upcoming construction project to improve country club road.
Those improvements include a roundabout at Memory Lane, improving Country Club Road, and allowing replacement of electric, gas, water, and sewer lines.
City staff will provide information on lane closures, detours, construction schedules, and project phasing.
The meeting is tonight at 5:30pm at Isaron Hall, located at 1071 Country Club Road.
Other upgrades include raised curbs, landscaped parkways, and pedestrian lighting.
The project will extend from Doniphan Drive to River Run Street and will be confined to the existing right-of-way; no property will be acquired as part of this project.
Crews are scheduled to begin work on August 5, 2013.
Construction is expected to take 560 days.
