El Paso (KDBC) — The El Paso County Commissioners Court could dish out close to $2 million for border protection efforts Monday.
The $1.8 million will go toward 'Operation Stonegarden,' which helps local law enforcement agencies along the border.
The funding comes from the Department of Homeland Security.
Commissioners will vote to distribute the funds among five agencies. Here is the breakdown:
El Paso County Sheriff's Office: $$656,720
El Paso Police: $994,955
Anthony Police: $57,850
Horizon Police: $44,325
Socorro Police: $47,057
