El Paso, TX (KDBC) — Construction to beautify the Airway/Interstate 10 interchange is well underway, and Monday the City of El Paso revealed photos of the sculpture that will go up as part of the Public Art Program.
Anastacio Rivera, 29, designed the sculpture to be placed in the median. It replicates the shape of plane wings, and inside there are shapes that resemble the flow of air and flight.
The new interchange will be a primary gateway to the El Paso International Airport.
The beautification project should be complete by September.
