CNN;CHRYSLER HANDOUT — It seems to be becoming a trend lately. Another "big three" automaker, has issued another big recall. This time it's Chrysler giving a warning to its customers. The automaker is recalling about 870-thousand SUV's. The problem: customers have been complaining about brake pedals that feel too firm, when pushed.
The issue is caused by exposure to water and dealers will fix it by installing a shield that protects the brake boosters from corrosion. Models affected include certain Jeep Grand Cherokee's and Dodge Durangos from the 2011 to 2014 model years.
There are about 650-thousand customers involved in the United States. Dealers will reach out to them directly or if owners are concerned, they can call the dealer themselves for further details. Chrysler says its aware of one related accident, and no injuries.
Chrysler owners can also call 1-800-853-1403 for more details on the recall.
