EL PASO — It's been nearly two decades of annual Christmas parties in Chihuahuita. Today Border Patrol agents and El Paso Parks and Recreation got together to give more than 100 presents to children in the historic downtown residential district. Everyone got goodies and listened to holiday music during the party.
"It's a great experience, just by looking at the kids seeing how much they enjoyed getting their presents, how much they enjoy watching santa. Today he rode in a horse from one of our horse patrol units," said Fernando Escabi, a Border Patrol agent.
This is part of the continuing effort for Border Patrol and the community of Chihuahuita to join together.
