FORT BLISS - The man from Chaparral, NM left dead in his bed for nearly a day was buried today.
Family and friends said their final goodbyes to Frank Hammond. The veteran was buried at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Last week, Local 4 News told you his family couldn't afford to take him to the morgue.
After we aired his story, several people called the family to find out how they could help. Mount Carmel Funeral Home volunteered to pay for all funeral expenses.
