Nearly 30 El Paso firefighters battled a fire at a recycling center in Central El Paso and what was inside, made fighting it more difficult.

The fire started at the recycling center on Magoffin and Dallas at 11 a.m. Sunday.
No one was inside the building at the time of the blaze.
A loud explosion was heard inside, but it's unclear what caused it.
The center was closed and locked up at the time, so firefighters had to force their way inside to put it out.
"The fire was basically metal that was recycled, aluminum, rims and stuff like that that was very hard to put out. We had to use foam and we couldn't just use the water so it took us a little bit longer than normal to put it out," said Captain Armando Delrasso.
No firefighters were hurt.
Investigators were trying to determine what caused it.
