EL PASO – Almost 300 pounds of marijuana was seized at El Paso ports of entry this weekend, according to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesperson.
CBP officers confiscated 295 pounds of the drug in five separate busts, the biggest being 115 pounds of pot that was discovered inside a pickup truck driven by a 21-year-old from Chihuahua, Mexico.
The drugs were hidden in four metal containers concealed in the truck's gas tank.
