Pointed questions as teachers and parents met Canutillo I.S.D.'s second candidate for superintendent.
Teachers asked how Ricardo Lopez is different from other officials in Borderland districts when it comes to cheating and making sure students pass state tests.
They asked specifics about E.S.L. and Gifted and Talented programs.

The meeting was only supposed to last two hours, but the questions continued past the scheduled end of the meeting.

"It's no surprise to me that people have really come out to vet the candidates and really really ask tough questions and they want to know what their philosophy will be if their selected by the school board," said Gustavo Reveles of C.I.S.D.

Wednesday at Canutillo High School, the public can meet the third superintendent candidate, Dr. Pete Galaviz from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
