Canutillo High under mock lockdown situation

CANUTILLO, Texas — Canutillo High School will be on lockdown Thursday, but law enforcement wants to assure parents it's just a drill.

The Canutillo Independent School District, along with the El Paso Sheriff's Office, El Paso Community College Police, U.S. Border Patrol, and El Paso Constables, are conducting a surprise drill in order to "gauge response by students, faculty and staff" that will mock an emergency lockdown situation on campus.
