Bus Routes Detoured for Chalk the Block Event

EL PASO — Chalk the Block events in the Downtown area will require Sun Metro to detour 6 routes beginning Wednesday, Oct. 10, through Monday, Oct. 15.

Six additional routes will begin detouring at 6 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12.
The detours will impact bus stops along Franklin and Oregon within the festivals footprint. Sun Metro drivers will service all the bus stops along Santa Fe between the Downtown Transfer Center and Franklin.

Detours beginning Wednesday:

Route 1:
Buses traveling outbound, east on Missouri will turn left onto Santa Fe, right onto Wyoming, right onto Kansas returning to the regular route. Buses traveling inbound will not be impacted.

Route 8:
Buses traveling outbound, east on Missouri will turn left onto Santa Fe, right onto Wyoming, right onto Mesa, right onto Texas, left onto Oregon returning to the regular route. Buses traveling inbound will not be impacted.

Routes 11, 14, 15 and 204:
Buses traveling outbound, north on Santa Fe will turn right onto Wyoming, left onto Oregon returning to the regular route.
Buses traveling inbound, south on Oregon will turn right onto Missouri, left onto Santa Fe returning to the regular route.

Detours beginning Friday:

Routes 33 and 59
Buses traveling outbound, north on Santa Fe will turn right onto Wyoming and onto the I-10 onramp returning to the regular route.

Routes 34, 35, 36 and 50:
Buses traveling outbound, from the Downtown Transfer Center on Fourth will turn left onto Santa Fe, right onto Wyoming, left onto Stanton returning to the regular route.
Buses traveling inbound, south on Oregon will turn right onto Missouri, left onto Santa Fe returning to the regular route.
