Burn Lake closed due to road repairs

LAS CRUCES — Burn Lake in Las Cruces is closed indefinitely due to road work leading into the lake. The city says the pavement caved in after they flood irrigated the soccer fields adjacent to the lake entrance. They say gopher holes under the road caused the pavement to crumble because of the added water. They expect to complete the repairs by the middle of next week.
