El Paso Police have confirmed they have recovered the body of an infant that they believe to be 5-month-old Jackson Farrey.

They say that the body was located late Tuesday evening in the desert west of US-54 near the Outpost at Orogrande, NM. EPPD say they are involved in a multi-agency investigation at including multiple law enforcement offices from Michigan, Illinois, Texas and New Mexico including FBI and U.S. Border Patrol.

The body will be transported to the University of New Mexico Medical Examiner's offices in Albuquerque, NM for a full autopsy.

The EPPD Mobile Command unit is set up at a gas station in the small community, halfway between El Paso and Alamogordo.

As we've reported, The Farrey family, Fort Bliss Army soldier Jeffrey Farrey, 22, his wife, 20-year-old Jenna Farrey, and their two children, Blake, 19-months, and Jackson Farrey, 5-months, along with their family dog were reported missing on Friday, November 15. Police were called to check on the Farrey family after Jeffrey failed to report to his station at Fort Bliss on Friday morning.

Saturday, the Farrey's landlord,Octavio Hidalgo discovered that the Farreys left behind an alleged suicide note in their home. The landlord, not expecting the Farreys to return was allowed to enter the home and began cleaning what he described as filthy, and inhumane.

The Farreys were subsequently found on Sunday in Escanaba, Michigan, at the Eagle's Nest Motel, a small 12-room motel less than a mile from the shores of Lake Michigan. At that time, Jeffrey, Jenna and 19-month old Blake were discovered, but the youngest member of the Farrey family, 5-month old Jackson was not with them.

Tuesday afternoon police began a thorough search of the Farrey's rental home on the 7300 block of Cerro Negro in El Paso's West side. They subsequently towed the Farrey's other vehicle, a white-colored Scion TC3.

Jeffrey Farrey was transferred from the custody of the Delta County Sheriffs office on Monday. It was unclear what law enforcement entity took Jeffrey into custody, but he was previously being held on charges stemming from an Absent without Leave charge from Fort Bliss, TX. Jenna Farrey is still in custody in Escanaba, Michigan, in the Delta County Sheriff's office on charges stemming from a probation violation.

More charges are expected. We will continue to follow the story as it develops.
