Body found in backyard marks 3rd murder of 2013

Friday, March 8, 2013 - 6:37pm

A woman's body was found in the backyard of her Northeast El Paso home Wednesday, but it wasn't until today that police could confirm foul play.

53-year-old Nora Kim Lorts allegedly lived at the home on Onxystone with her mother, Sharon, who has owned the home for 20 years, according to the Central Appraisal District website.

An autopsy report completed today showed her death as suspicious. Apparently, she nor her mother had good relationships with neighbors, and they tell us Nora might have had a mental disability.

Several told us off-camera that they would throw urine and feces into the street, pour sugar in the gas tanks of their neighbors' cars, flatten tires, and rip out windshields.

A criminal case search shows a long list of charges ranging from assault to theft against the victim, dating as far back as 1986, but all were dismissed.

No arrests have been made.
