Portions of Santa Fe Street in Downtown El Paso are closed to motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists through Monday, April 28 2014 at 6:00 a.m.

  • Santa Fe St. from Wyoming Ave to Bataan Memorial Trainway – Now through Friday at 6:00pm
  • Santa Fe St. from Missouri Ave to Bataan Memorial Trainway – Friday, April 25, at 6:00 pm through Monday, April 28 a 6:00 a.m.

West Franklin Street and the Durango Street Bridge which had also been closed to accommodate ballpark construction will re-open to traffic on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 4:00 p.m.

Once those streets reopen, they will provide an alternate route for some concertgoers attending the Beck Concert on Thursday evening at the Abraham Chavez Theater. El Paso Live recommends patrons consider the following detours to avoid Santa Fe Street:

  • From West El Paso: I-10 exit Porfirio Diaz Street exit to Franklin Avenue. Follow Franklin Avenue to Durango Street before accessing the El Paso Convention Center Parking Garage via San Antonio Avenue or Santa Fe Street.
  • From East El Paso: I-10 exit Downtown or Mesa Street exits, turning south on Kansas Street, Mesa Street, or Oregon Street to San Antonio Avenue and proceeding west to the El Paso Convention Center Garage.
  • Other Option: Motorists should also consider Texas Avenue, Paisano Drive, and the César Chávez Border Highway as alternate routes into Downtown.
