Anthem, AZ — Unlike most religious services in the the U-S, a church in Arizona encourages texts, tweets and cell phone calls during its services.
Officials at Fellowship Church in Anthem, Arizona point to a bible verse that reads "He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.'"
Pastor Ted Baird says his church takes that verse literally and thinks modern technology helps members do that.
But Baird does admit some people might find it disrespectful.
"I recognize that that's a challenge for some people. They think it's a break with tradition and as we watch the church advance through its life cycle, it constantly embraces the edge," the Pastor says.
Baird calls all the new technology the best way to communicate the churches' message.
He says its just a matter of taking advantage of it.
