Tornillo, Texas (KDBC) — Drinking water in Tornillo has tested positive for arsenic. According to the El Paso County Tornillo Water Improvement District, the levels detected should not pose a major threat to the community, but some people who drink arsenic for several years could experience skin damage, circulatory problems, and a higher risk of cancer.
A community meeting is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon at 12:30 to address community concerns. It'll be held at the Adult and Youth United Development Association Office at 1325 Beverly Ann Drive.
