Cleveland, OH — Workers began tearing down Ariel Castro's house Wednesday, August 7, 2013 where he held three women captive for years.
Castro forfeited the house on Seymour Avenue as part of a plea deal with prosecutors that took the death penalty off the table in exchange for a life sentence, plus 1,000 years in prison.
Just before was house was torn down Michelle Knight, one of his victims, celebrated by handing out and releasing yellow balloons.
Castro held Amanda Berry, Gina Dejesus, and Michelle Knight for ten years, brutally attacking and assaulting them. He pled guilty last week to 937 counts, including murder and kidnapping.
