EL PASO - El Paso Animal Services is seeing an increase in dogs coming in with Parvo.
The spike is common for this time of year due to the weather being slightly cooler and more humid.
Canine parvo and distemper are both potentially deadly, but preventable diseases that affect dogs.
Parvo is contagious to other dogs, but not to humans.
Signs of Parvo include loss of appetite, vomiting, dehydration, depression, fever, and diarrhea.
