EL PASO, TX (KDBC) — Evidence in a 2009 murder surfaced in a trial of a man accused of killing his boyfriend, according to analysts.
Michael Herrera, 29, allegedly beat and stabbed his boyfriend Cesar Torres to death in July 2009. Police said it happened inside Torres' apartment in downtown El Paso.
On Tuesday, the jury heard testimony from a fingerprint analyst who said he identified several of Herrera's fingerprints at the scene of the crime. He is facing first degree murder charges. If convicted, he faces up to 99 years in prison.
