American Trucker Remains In Mexican Immigration Custody

An American truck driver remains in Mexico. He's been released from federal authorities, but is now in the custody of Mexican Immigration.

The U.S. Consulate in Juarez confirms with Local Four, Jabin Bogan was released yesterday from criminal detention, and is now in the custody of INAMI.

Bogan had been held in a maximum security federal prison in the state of Veracruz since his arrest in April.

Bogan was arrested after his lawyers say he took a wrong turn with 250,000 rounds of ammunition on his way to Phoenix. His lawyers expected him to be released this week after paying a fine.

The U.S. Consulate continues to render the appropriate services for Bogan.
