We all know Black Friday can get a little chaotic. Bargain hunters in Illinois witnessed a violent confrontation between police and suspected shoplifters.

It happened outside a Kohl's store near Chicago. Officers said they chased two accused shoplifters as they tried to leave the store in a get-away car parked outside.

Phil Koster witnessed the whole ordeal. He said, "The cop had got over there. As he attempted to slam the door, the cop's arm got stuck, and the driver attempted to take off. The second cop had come with the gun was telling him to stop the car because he was dragging the cop around the parking lot. He didn't stop. The cop shot about four, five times."

Police say the driver was hit with several bullets. The injured officer and the driver were hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries.

All three alleged shoplifters were arrested.
