EL PASO -- El Paso Police have identified the man they said kidnapped a one and half year old girl Thursday.
He is identified as Rolando Pacheco, 34.
Police said Pacheco took the little girl from her front yard on the 4500 block of Skylark and ran towards a canal with the girl in his arms.
The girls siblings chased the man along with two men, Mario Banuelos-Valenzuela, 20 and Jose Luna, 31. Police said Pacheco threatened both men with a knife before the incident.
Police said Pacheco then put the little girl into the water in the canal and her sibling was able to rescue her.
Pacheco faces aggravated kidnapping charges along with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
He is booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility under a $150,000.00 bond.
